See if you can buy toursit packages on www.citysightseeing. co.za – ganting you trips on the red tourist bus and entrance to a few plac- es like the cable way, Kirstenbosch, etc. Talking about Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. What an outing, pack a picnic and wander off explor- ing the great gardens. Our kids and us love going there as often possible. Be sure not to miss the Boomslang meander there.
The Cape of Good Hope Castle offers tours. See if you can make it or a time when they shoot the canon or have a guard march. Info are available on their website. Kids always enjoy the aquarium.
The Waterfront offers great restaurants, trips to Robben Island and the big wheel.
The Cape are full of week- end markets (www.insideguide/cape- town/markets/). Old Biscout Mill in Woodstock and the market at Route 44-market outside Stellenbosch being old time favourites.
Spice Route is a great stop around Paarl where you can spent half a day. It is en estate with a few buildings hosting different expere- inces such as chocolate tastings, ice cream plaza, wine tastings, beer tast- ings, restaurants, etc. It is also next door to the famous Farview cheese farm. So tick it while you are at it.

Franschoek is a lovely town to spent the day exploring: shops, win- eries, a chocolate factory and a wine trêm!
We love eating at Leopard’s Leap where you can have a Sunday buffet with the most amazing salads and meats and Franschoek winery. Franschoek has an old car museum.
