Bredasdorp: key to a trio of destinations
A 55km road will lead you to Bredas- dorp with it’s magnificent Ship Wreck Museum. Fortunately from there you can drive 25km further in any direc- tion to discover:
Elim: A town with thatched roofed houses. Spoil yourself with a wine tasting, delicious craft beers and lunch at Black Oyster Catcher (www. blackoysercatcher.co.za)
Aghulhas: From Elim take a shortcut for a picture at the most southern tip of Africa. Enjoy fish & chips at the café or find out if the Sea Shack is open in Struisbaai.
Die Mond: On your way back you will pass Die Mond Nature Reserve with a beautiful river, if it is not to dry.
Arniston/Waenhuisk- rans: This a scenic fisherman’s vil- lage with a nice restaurant at the ho- tel. We can recommend the Mariner’s Platter, their fish cake, burgers, su- shi… everything really 🙂 Also visit the cave in low tide. There is a 4×4 circle route in the dunes you can do for free. From the cave just keep straight.
